Ojciec Liz siedzi w barze i gra na gitarze. Jest Nowy Rok - 7:31. Jesse wraca do domu i widzi Iz śpiącą na kolanach Kyle'a. Michael budzi się w domu Liz, która dopiero co wyszła spod prysznica. Na pytanie Michael'a "co z Marią?", Liz odpowiada, że chyba jego dziewczyna spędziła noc z Max'em...7,5 godziny wcześniej... Maria i Max idą razem w dziwne miejsce, z którego unoszą się kłęby dymu. Dziewczyna dziękuje Max'owi za to, ponieważ zawsze o tym marzyła... (ale o czym niewiadomo - na razie).
Wigilia Nowego Roku (czyli 31 grudnia), godzina 18:32. Isabel przygotowuje uroczystą kolację dla niej i Jessego. Jednak jej ukochany dzwoni, że niestety utknął w Houston. Prosi dziewczynę, aby nie siedziała sama w domu i mimo to poszła się gdzieś bawić, bo wystarczy, że on będzie miał fatalny Nowy Rok... Reszta opisu w dziale Odcinki.

| Dear Liz,I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much Ienjoyed your etoridial column on thehe Monty Roberts newsletter. It was so right.I find it hard, even intolerable, to see the way people treat horses dogs too. I do rescue work here in the UK and am constantly faced with the results of man's inhumanity to animals. I see a lack of enlightenment on many levels from the obvious level that leads to clear abuse through to the ordinary horse person who does provide acceptable care but who fails to appreciate the emotional needs of a horse, fails to see how much more there is than flesh and fur, fails to acknowledge their own spirit and that of their horse. Often people think that it is just the horse that is the loser when the human that owns them fails to appreciate them, but the truth is that owner loses too: The quality of mercy is not strained.It droppeth as the gentle rain from heavenUpon the place beneath.
